STRATIA: Στρατιά // army, band of soldiers, collective power, unified front
Who We Are
Judges 8:4 says: “Then Gideon and the 300 men who were with him came to the Jordan and crossed over, weary yet pursuing.”
That phrase — “weary yet pursuing” — captures what STRATIA is about. These men were exhausted from battle, but they did not relent. Individually they were weak, but together they were strong.
STRATIA is a brotherhood of young husbands and dads in the Kansas City area. Being a husband and a dad is one of life’s greatest gifts but it’s also a season marked by busyness, exhaustion, and weariness. When weariness sets in, many men retreat and isolate themselves from God and from other brothers in Christ. Alone, we feel the full weight of work, family, and faith — but together, we become strong: a STRATIA — a collective power, a unified front, an army of men.
Why We Exist
We cannot do this season of life alone, and we cannot let weariness win. STRATIA exists to bring men together — to fight isolation and pursue Christ with strength and endurance.
The men of STRATIA are unified by two desires:
- to lead our families well
- to grow as disciples of Christ.
